Chestnut in a Tudor Yard

Here's another painting by Frances Mabel Hollams. She painted between 1899-1929, trained in Paris, and joined the Society of Women Artists in 1899. The lucky lady married well, to a horseman! She liked to paint on wood and let the grain show through. As you can see, she was incredibly detailed in her renditions of horses.

Here's another painting by the wonderful Frances Mabel Hollams. She loved to paint directly onto wood and let the grain come through and she loved to give exacting details to her beautiful horses. Here she has painted Courage and you can see that he truly was a noble, courageous creature. Hope he's leading a herd in heaven!

Francis Mabel Hollams and the #9 Racer!

Here's a painting by Frances Mabel Hollams, one of my favorite English painters. I don't know anything about this artist, this great person. I hope over the course of my remaining time on this earth that I learn about her. Here's one of her race horses. You can just see that she loves him. I am writing this blog on November 1st, All Saint's Day, La Touissaint. So, I send blessings to this artistic spirit and thank her for her great works.
