Breaking News! Grampa Celebrates his 90th Birthday!

On Saturday, June 25th, Grampa Sanchez celebrated his 90th birthday with a celebration with family.  It was wonderful.  Mary Lou made Grama's famous fruit salad, mom made potato salad, Angie made tons of yummy treats, and Bill grilled salmon, pork and chicken.  We were spoiled.  I'm proud to be a part of the Sanchez family!!

My Dad thinks Agriculture Counts!

My dad came down for Labor Day with my mom this summer. He is retired now, but in a very busy sort of retirement. He goes fishing and hunting all the time, and visits his favorite outdoors spots. He is the man-about-town, engaging in photojournalism opportunities. And he even works as a census worker for the Department of Agriculture!

I think it's very cool that he is an interviewer and census administrator for the agriculture industry. In this photo, he is demonstrating how he uses the tools of his trade to "count" potatoes, cows, etc. And on his shirt the little badge says "Agriculture Counts!" Which, by the way, I think is adorable! Yay, dad!

Breaking News! Emma Loves Horses!

Here's my little niece, Emma, up in Rhinelander at Holiday Acres Stable, taking a horse ride. You should have seen her. I was holding her and she flung herself, leaped at the saddle, she was so excited to get on! She was a super duper riding girl! You'll see another post about this exciting day tomorrow! These photos are from my dad!
