Here is a photo of my mom, Aunt Mary Jane, and Sue, a Buckler relative that it was really great to see. Aunt Mary Jane was a perfect hostess, making sure that we were all super well-fed and that we were having a good time. It was such a fun event and Janie got so many wonderful gifts!

Here is a photo of my cousin, Cathy, her son, Ian, her niece, Allie, Ian's partner, Nora, and one of the newest additions to the family, Brendan. Cathy is a wonderful grandma and Ian has such a happy family.

Baby Shower: Jane and her Dad

On March 1st, Jane Marie had her baby shower at a really lovely Italian restaurant in Utica, Michigan. She had so many family and friends attend and everyone was so excited for her. I was so glad to see her looking so lovely, dressed so elegantly, obviously healthy and happy and well. Baby is coming into a wonderful home and will have a great mom!

Charles Gibson Reports from Bowling Green!

Here's a photo my cousin took that beautiful Saturday in June 2007! She was trying to get an elegant photo of Violet by her stable's sign -- Violet of Breezy Acres!! But she decided to cover my face with her own. So, instead, here's a photo of what I'd look like as a Centaur in reverse. Instead of my head on a horse's body, you have a beautiful horse head on my body!! So, it goes!!

Okay, so I'm posting Tuesday, October 7th, and I am pretty excited. Charles Gibson of ABC news came and did a live broadcast of the National News and he was standing right outside my office window for the big event! His interviews with our students showed them to be intelligent, thoughtful and lucid. Top notch! And then he showed a segment where he visited our beautiful Bowling Green windmills at the edge of town! I travel by those windmills every single day on my way out and home to see my horses! And for months now, I've been thinking to stop and take a photo of them. They are beautiful, just beautiful. Anyway, Mr. Gibson praised them and talked about them and gave us props for our environmental leadership! I was just popping with excitement! Those windmills are among my most favorite things about this town! Very cool! Plus I saw Jorge, Christine, Gary and Naomi on national news . What a hoot of a day!

The Lucisanos Visit!

On the 8th day of Renny's life, my favorite people came to visit. Uncle Carlo, Aunt Mary Jane, and Cousin Jane all came to meet my newest little family member. You can tell that they are world travelers. They had no problem running around with my mare and foal, taking pictures, taking video, asking questions. Carlo and Mary Jane just returned from safari in Africa where they took 15 little puddle jumper airplanes over the course of 21 days. So, they were practically crawling through the paddock to take up close and personal shots of my little wild foal. When you are used to taking photos of cape buffalo, a little American Sport Pony is an easy shot! I was grateful for their visit. I love them.

Two Independent Ladies

Here is a photo my mom took of Jane Marie and me, and my little goddaughter, Emma, at a family picnic at the Lucisano's on Labor Day Weekend. We are happy women. We love our families. We love our work. We love our pets. We love our homes. We are enjoying the blessings in our lives!

My Beautiful Cousin, Jane Marie

Earlier this summer, I went up to visit family, and we spent a lovely day with the Lucisanos, Bergs, and the two nieces, such sweet girls! Here's a photo from our afternoon at Kensington Gardens. This is my very well-travelled cousin, Jane Marie. Isn't she a beauty! And she's the biggest-hearted, loving girl too!

She is our family photographer and historian. And I am always grateful because she takes pictures of my beautiful Violet!

At the end of June, my cousin, Jane, came to visit for the day. She had just returned from an amazing trip in Europe! She came to town to help me with Arcangelo who had hurt himself. We spent the day lunching at the Tea Tree Asian Bistro, taking photos of Violet, walking around town, eating ice cream, and talking about our world travels! It was such a nice treat! Here's one of the photos from that day! Violet is cutting up for the camera!!!
