My Folks!

I went home in May to visit my mom and dad and see his new nursing home.  It was so nice to be home.  Zelia had a great time walking, enjoying the lake, visiting family.  And she really liked my mom and dad's dog, Lucky.  Mom and I planted flowers, got pedicures, ate good food, visited dad.  It was a really special trip.  Namaste.

My Injured Loved Ones

When we were in St. Louis for Grama's 90th birthday, it was kind of odd and coincidental that both Timmy and Mom had injuries to the same shared leg and had to wear the same brace.  Mom's hurt the tendon in her foot and they are trying to get the swelling to go down.  I worry about how she's getting worn out -- she takes care of everyone selflessly.

Baby Stephen! Grandma Adjusts his Hat!

Here we are and mom is having the time of her life, looking at her first grandson, happy in her baby daughter's health after the delivery, and just making sure his little hat is on perfectly. She does not want a cold baby grandson! Happy grandma!

Here they are, meeting baby Stephen, in the very first few hours of his birth, the morning of the 18th. The girls had already given him very careful, loving pats on his head and praised his handsomeness and now are smiling with delight for the camera!

Florida '08: Mom, Clara and Me

In this photo, we had spent a long day at a park and Emma was deep into a much-needed nap. But our little Clara was ready to stretch her body, and swim, run, and play. So, we took her to the pool and then to a jungle gym. I just love my girls! Elena is taking this photo!

Florida '08: Enjoying the Animal Kingdom!

Here is a photo of my family on a really extraordinary beautiful sunlit morning in Florida at the Animal Kingdom Park. We got up early in order to have breakfast with Donald Duck, Goofy, and their pals. And then we were going to take a tour of Africa, ride a train through the jungle, visit animals on a nature walkway, and play, play, play, play in a big jungle gym area known as the Boneyard. We had an exhausting, drum-beating, skirt-swinging, dancing day. And we slept as deeply as we could for our naps before jetting off to the Magic Kingdom for the 'Not so Scary' Halloween! A big day!

Here is a photo of my mom and her grandchildren. She could not be happier. Her girls just saw a savannah full of African animals and she knows that they are happy and ready for a day of adventures!

Florida '08: Waiting for the Magic Kingdom!

My mom and dad hosted my family for a week's trip to Florida. We had an amazing time, celebrating Emma's birthday, swimming, visiting the parks in Orlando, playing with the girls, and being together. Here is a photo of us taken on the second day as we are waiting to board a bus for the Magic Kingdom. We were staying at the Animal Kingdom which is an amazing resort with a nature and animal preserve surrounding the rooms and villas!

Here are my mom and Aunt Mary Jane over Thanksgiving weekend. Don't they look like lovely girls? But troublemakers too! They are the warmest-hearted ladies I know.
