Okay, so get this, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association picked Rags to Riches' stunning historic macho victory over Curlin in the Belmont Stakes as the 2007 "Moment of the Year!"I want to emphasize this point. Our girl, Rags, breaks from the gate, stumbles practically to her knees, drags her athletic self up and pounds out a victory over Curlin to be the first filly in 105 years to win the Belmont and gets the "Moment of the Year."
So, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. How can she hammer out and beat old Curlin, the Preakness Stakes winner, and HE gets the Eclipse Horse of the Year Award? He deserves that Eclipse. But in my heart, he shares the honor with his lovely red sister!
