The first horse was retired on the course, and as you know from yesterday's posting, The Quiet Man was eliminated by injury and then ultimately euthanized. This is a difficult sport, and they are working toward greater safety, developing frangible pins for the jumps and considering making more intermediate and beginner courses to help with developing both human and equine athletes.
