I love this photo of my brave little boy, as he takes a step away from his mom to greet his paparazzi! He's only a week old in this photo. Okay, so this Spring at Showgate, I've seen two day-old foals taking their first steps, and I have to say that Renny could run circles around them. I guess as a pony, he was born good to go. Skippy Jon Jones and Ziva mainly just stood quietly, or walked or trotted a few steps, on their first outing. But Renny ran and ran and ran and ran and ran literal circles around his mother with all the energy of a hopped up Russell Terrier. Poor Hailee just wore herself out trying to keep her nose facing him. I now realize he was a real exception! My crazy little wild pony athlete! Adorable!
