In 2002, I stayed at a villa outside of Florence, Italy. We travelled to Firenza a few times and I so enjoyed la Piazza della Signoria, the L-Shaped square in front of Palazza Vecchio. This internationally known square was the political hub of the city in the 14th century. One of my favorite parts of this beautiful space was the fountain statue of Neptune in a shell-shaped chariot being pulled out of the water by 4 horses!
