Violet's Gay Crusader!


Violet is related to the 1917 English Triple Crown winner, Gay Crusader. Gay Crusader's track record was 10: 8-1-0, and he retired relatively early at age 4 due to a training injury. He earned $69,480. He almost didn't have a chance to win the English Triple Crown because the British government considered banning racing due to the war. But the British public and racing industry wanted racing to continue for morale and to keep up with the history of knowing who are the most fierce competitors among thoroughbreds. Gay Crusader was a bad-tempered boy, out of Bayardo and Gay Laura. He is the damsire of Prince Rose the sire of Princequillo.
