Here is a painting of Diamond Jubilee who was owned and bred by HRH the Prince of Wales, Edward VII. He was born in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. His final record was 13: 6-2-2, and in his third year, he won the 2,000 Guinea Stakes, Epsom Derby, St. Leger Stakes, Newmarket, and Eclipse Stakes, all to his owner's delight! He stood at stud in both England and Argentina, and died after a long life in that distant land! He managed to become part of Hailee's heritage and since he was a mean old cuss, I expect that's where she got much of her spirit too!
